Is Aweber worth it?

Sales Training »
I have a sales related website that I am starting to give some much needed focus. I don't have a double opt in list yet... however, I have heard that this is the best way to go.

Would anyone here suggest that I build a mailing list? If so, what program do you suggest? -salesfist

aweber without question. They've been at it longer than all the others and are extremely reliable. -helisell

Absolutely. List building goes hand-in-hand with any traffic building strategy and you definitely want to go with double opt-in to cut down on spam filters. Aweber is very user friendly and intuitive to use - so it's a quick process to learn the functionality.

Good luck! -CoachMaria

I recommend Aweber above all other listbuilding services.

As noted above, they have been at this for a long time. They adhere to the federal guidelines for listbuilding, and they believe in safe listbuilding practices.

That's why double opt-in is so important. Not only do they protect the person signing up to your list by ensuring that they are the ones who used their email to sign up, they also protect you.

Double opt-in is a great way to show that the people signing up to your list really want to be there.

Aweber is also very easy to use. Setting up a list can be a daunting experience because there are a lot of things to take into consideration. Aweber leads you through a step-by-step process with graphic and video tutorials to explain everything.

Also, when you put the extra time in it's fairly simple to set up a parsing list that keeps your hot prospects hot, and let's you know who is cooling off.

I do think, as a marketer, that building a list is absolutely critical to ongoing future success. Aweber is the gold standard of autoresponders.

If money is an issue, you could try MailChimp or Listwire. I've had some luck with them.

I'd also suggest you think of your list as a community and, from time to time, ask your community a few questions to see in what direction they want you to go as the leader.-MM -magicman

As others have mentioned Aweber is a great solution for building a list. However you should first make sure you have a good amount of traffic coming to your website (at least 40-50 uniques per day) Typically 20-30% will opt in to your list so you want to make sure you have a sustained and consistent source of traffic that will get you opt ins so you are not wasting money monthly on a service that does not give you any ROI. -Profit Wave Media
