IMO, sales tips can do more harm than good when they do not indicate or suggest context. The same could be said for any suggestion and/or advice. ;) - by Jeff Blackwell
Tips are finesses and they don't belong in the early stages of a sales career because there is no foundaton to finesse. That is true in all practices from selling to sailing to surgery. - by Gary A Boye

Excellent point.

Teaching someone how to jump the cue ball over another ball, while playing bar-pool or billiards, before he or she can play the game is pointless. Yet, sales trainers often confuse such tips with basic sales techniques.

Imagine someone not being concerned with how to position the cue ball for the next shot, because he or she knows how to jump. That would be interesting to watch! - by John Voris
