Google vs. MSN

Yesterday Bill Gates posted a letter introducing the new MSN Search.

It looks like Google is going to have some competition. Do you think MSN can compete against Google?

I don't know a whole lot about the Internet but I do know that Microsoft is a huge marketing machine.

I can't see why MSN wouldn't be able to "compete" with Google. Whether or not MSN can overtake Google is a different ball of wax.

Sure MSN can compete, They'll each have their own piece of the pie.

I'm confident MSN can compete with Google. I'd be intersted in knowing how much market share MSN can take away from Google.

I don't know if anyone noticed but Google had a "Major" update over the last week or so. IMO, many of the changes made are due in part to competition from MSN.

I noticed that MSN is using Google's "Adsense" to advertise their Search Engine.

I don't know enough about how those type of things work to make an educated decision. Sorry.

Most definately. IMO, if Microsoft brings out the big guns [advertising budget] Google is going to have a tough fight on their hands.
