The "Obvious"

"The 'obvious' should be compelling, and that thought embraces the true nature of CLOSING."

Do you agree with that statement?
Do you understand that statement?
Is that statement something you consider worth giving some thought to?

Hello Gary. :) I cannot say that I understand that statement however I would like to and would be happy to put some thought into it. - by Jeff Blackwell
Gary,

I have never heard something like this.

I presume what you mean is:
The closing should be powerful enough to make it really "OBVIOUS" to the client why she/ he should buy your product; it should be a no-brainer. Often salespersons leave a gap (which they think need not be filled in because it's obvious, but usually it's not really so obvious to the prospect).

So, what the salesperson considers obvious may not be really obvious, and an extra effort should be made to make the obvious, absolutely "OBVIOUS"!

Did I get it right?

And I completely agree with the above, if that's what you'd meant. I think it requires enormous thought.
