Here is a quote from "Escaping the Matrix" by Gregory A. Boyd and Al Larson:

Perhaps because of the Entertainment/Media complex in our culture, perhaps because of concepts like mandatory retirement in organizations, there is a tendency for many to surrender to "aging"--to put themselves out to pasture. Strange when you consider the powers to be in this world are largely in advanced years. In our country, "Baby Boomers" are 78 million strong. "Aging" is a state of mine--a dangerous and wasteful one to boot.
