Traits and Characteristics of Top Salespeople

What do you think are the basic traits or characteristics of a professional salesperson?

For instance:
1. Image
2. Enthusiasm
3. Product Knowledge
4. Empathy

I would also add something about "authority." IMO, you have to come across as knowing what you're talking about.

Are you asking about the traits or characteristics desired by customers?

No. I was referring to the common traits or characteristics that professional salespeople share.

How about "Thick Skin"?

I think that confidence is another trait that most professional salespeople have.

I would add "Proactive" to the list.

I would throw in something about a "Positive Attitude." When I say "Positive Attitude" what I mean is the opposite of a "p-i-s-s-y" attitude, if you know what I mean.
