What is Google base?
Jeff, I saw the post on Google base but I'm not clear on what's in it for me. What can this do for us? -bridger480

I was just tinkering around with it earlier this morning. Here's my 30-second take on it: you post data, Google hosts it, displays it and makes it searchable. That data can range from recipes, news, job postings, and other classified ads, to the more intriguing uses I'm thinking of: people profiles, articles, products, etc. If Google finds something particularly useful, will be included in general Google search results.
It's a general, multi-purpose information center that Google houses instead of just linking to.
I've got some ideas I'm going to explore with it, will post back with what I discover. -BrandonH

Google Base is awesome! But then I'm a fan of Craigslist and this performs one of the same functions [free online advertising].
With all of the new Free products Google is putting out, if I didn't know any better I would say Bill Gates is somehow involved. :D -Agent Smith
