This is an embarrassing moment I thought I'd share to lighten your day. I fired off an email to a customer. Apparently I misspelled the word "convenience." It was snagged by the spell check and I routinely selected "correct," it automatically corrected it, and sent the email.
Here is my advice for day: Don't assume the spell-checker automatically recognized the word correctly. Here is what I sent:
If there is an error in this address, please send me a correction and I will fire it back out to you. Sorry for the incontinence.
Fortunately, on my next correspondence, I happened to re-read my last email to him, and started out the next one by telling him the spell checker gave me a good laugh. His response: "Yeah, I saw that right away and decided not to touch it."
Good grief!
