Emailing client base
One of the features of our product is that we email to our customers' client base each month. These have been text/link emails. A couple customers are looking for glitzier emails (using images).
Does anyone have any experience with this? Can I just create this kind of thing in my autoresponder or are there services who create these kind of emails cost effectively? -RainMaker

With many autoresponder services you can send HTML and images. For instance,

I have heard that HTML emails have a lower probability of making it through spam filters. I don't know if this is true, but it if so, it might be something to think about. -Derek
Yes, thanks, Jeff. I use aweber. They have newsletter templates, but not really what I'm looking for in a template. I guess I could try building one. The ones I get remind me of a centerd table with images packed together to make a solid look (and some text mixed in.) -RainMaker

Good point, Derek. I mentioned this, but my prospects don't seem to care. They receive them in THEIR email, so they figure most people will get them. Don't know if there is any fact to that--it is simply how they seem to view it. -RainMaker

Can I use HTML in a message or send an HTML e-mail?
Yes, you can use HTML in your autoresponder and follow up messages. However, do recognize that some e-mail programs do not support HTML. In those cases we also support Text/HTML Mime message format that will automatically display HTML or text depending on what the user's email program supports.

Jeff: Thank you. I did not realize that you simply need to cut and paste an already created document into the html coding screen of the html message. That is easy and perfect!;co -RainMaker
There are companies out there that will give you a great deal of options for your email campaigns. One I have used and found extremely helpful when wanting to import images and hyper links is
www.constantcontact.com . They are affordable and you can try them for free. -wlctrent
Be aware that the number of people who want htnl emial is matched by a similar number who despise it. The code gets mangled or blocked by many email hosts or prgrams. In many way it is better to have good content and minimal bells and whistles--or as suggested have a program that generates both plain text and html versions automatically and let people choose. -rattitude

I'm working as an Avon Representative and have an Avon site. We can use either email or e-postcards, which I really like. I was able to select a postcard geared toward the holidays, not to sell but to wish my customers a Happy Thanksgiving. I think they appreciate special efforts like that. I hope so anyway. -ozzie

This is quite interesting. Are these e-cards something that your clients have
to pick up online, or are the graphics right in the email? Do you mail them one
by one so that spam filters won't tag them as spam? -destiny
