When we were invited to this seminar about a referral business, we were not prepared to go to a hotel. Apparently, selling diamonds demand a plush environment. It was a really nice venue for a presentation. The food was nice as well.
The presentations, I remember, were scheduled to meet a particular quota of attendees since the costs were rather expensive. But such an investment would have been effective in conveying business sincerity and legitimacy. They were selling diamonds, after all.
