I do not remember where I came across this, but there was one company which encountered legal action from a prospective client. Apparently, the company has been calling the lady to offer the product (I do not recall, sorry). She has asked to be removed from the company's list but call offerings kept coming in. The case that the lady brought was about being disturbed by the calls. She won.

Most lead generation companies will now put a DNC waiver statement on there forms. That way if a person fills out the form asking for more information on this or that, they are giving business owners the right to call them. IP addresses are important to have also when obtaining lists.
