I think it is rather easy to manipulate a sites ranking one MSN as on page SEO is still very important with MSN. Yahoo rankings are very unpredictable and IMHO the best search results can still be found on Google.

The problem with Google is that the search results are not always great. You'll still find scraper sites dominating certain keywords. It behooves Google to really clean up the messy search results.
