Good morning. I am a newbie to the board and kind of new to the sales field. I have done inside sales and account management, but have never done outside sales. I just interviewed for a sales position with a local radio station to sell advertising and I am needing a little help.

I need to send an email to the VP and Marketing Manager in the form of a sales proposal. The product is me and they are the customer. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this without sounding like I am bragging or selling my self short? I need this by COB Wed 9/13, I have researched online, but I am not finding any ideas.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your help

Matt

Matt,

If you don't talk yourself up--who will? I have a proposal fomat I use which I can email you--just pm me and I'll send it.

Be honest about your accomplishments and put it all in numbers. How much did you incease sales (numbers and percent). Did you grow the territory? How much new business did you bring in? Did you win any awards?

Hpe that helps.

Susan

Welcome to the forum Matt.

This comes too late but my suggestion would have been to find out what the radio station was trying to achieve (challenge) and then mention what you could bring to the table to help them achieve it (solution).
