George Carlin definately has the right attitude about being super-intelligent. . . never take anything too seriously.

Wishing you all a wonderful new week!

Thanks Karen, I've always enjoyed Carlin's humor. I'll never forget one of his routines where he did an imitation of a piece of bacon frying in a pan. It was hilarious!

I remember that. He is really a genius - but sometimes pretty raunchy.

George Carlin had a bit where he pretended to toss a baby up and down and eventually missed. For years I thought that was funny.

My favorite Carlin jokes are about the redundancies of the English language and jokes about politically correctness.

Classic Carlin: A lady came up to me on the street, pointed at my suede jacket and said, "Don't you know a cow was murdered for that jacket?" I said "I didn't know there were any witnesses. Now I'll have to kill you too".

I've always enjoyed George Carlin's humour, including his part in the movie The Prince of Tides.

I wonder if Steven Wright was influenced much by him? I think there's a similarity between their styles.

Through the years, I've seen lots of people imitate his style,
that's how we learn and get better at anything - imitate the pros - but he carved a 'niche' in comedy that no one will ever
surpass. I just wish he wouldn't resort to the filthy stuff - he doesn't have to but I think he does because. . .it's who he is.

Still, I've loved him since my hippie days.
