Cold Canvassing (door knocking) Pros and Cons

Lets build a list of the pros and cons of prospecting in-person. I'll start with...

Pros:

  • Not as easy to dismiss as telephone cold calling.
Cons:
  • Volume - It takes longer per call than telephone cold calling.

Pro.....it gets me outdoors and I get some walking done.

Con....most people aren't home during the day.

Pro: More personal. The prospect might like the way you look and give you more of an opportunity than just hearing your voice over the phone.

Con: Weather, Cost of Shoes, Face to face rejection.
