Have you been terminated by your company before? In my case, I resigned in my company because the salary was not fair. I waited for them to terminate me but it didn't happen.

I know someone who was planning to leave a toxic work environment earlier this year. By toxic, I mean mentally abusive and unfair, not in the sense of harmful physical materials.
She set a date on which she'd give notice to the company, but before that she was terminated. In this case she received a financial package which was even better than her quitting without one.

I guess the company can no longer hold on Ricardo. The only advantage of being terminated in my company is the free plane ticket. But if you resigned, you're responsible for your own airfare.
