It's possible to happen that search engine professionals will try DMOZ again. Who knows there might be new features now compared before. I think DMOZ improvement is for the better. -shinningstar

I guess it is time to re-submit sites again to DMOZ for some of our clients and a couple of our own sites.

I'm glad you posted about the DMOZ being open again. I didn't know they were closed. I guess that could be why my site was accepted. How long were they closed and do we know why they were closed? -ozzie

DMOZ was closed to submissions for a few months due to a problem on the backend. They are open for submissions again but if you've already submitted prior then it shouldn't be necessary to resubmit. -SpeedRacer

5 months ago I managed to be able to get one of my clients listed.. how did I do that since I am not an "editor"? -ilovesuperpages.com

You don't have to be an editor to submit a website. -SpeedRacer

Are we allowed to submit blogs to the DMOZ? I've never tried to and was wondering if anyone here knows. I've no idea if they consider blogs as websites or not. Some people and companies do. :re -ozzie

DMOZ Fun #10
I think I submitted my site the first day the DMOZ was open again for submissions and haven't heard anything or seen my site listed. I think they're still very backlogged as far as adding new sites. I've heard folks are finally starting to appear that requested before the site went down onto backup servers. For us that missed getting in before then, I guess we just have to wait....

Getting into DMOZ is tough, either you need to have the editors in your contact list you need to have a very good site. -mtajim

DMOZ is so frustrating... It is like a big black box, there is absolutely no way of knowing what is happening with your submission request until your link actually shows up (if ever). -ChannelSales
