I am trying to find a good way of prospecting so that the people come to me, like all my other co-workers. Welcome to the car business!
There will be a lot of customers at your dealership where the selling salesperson has left, they are called orphan owners.
Get a list form your sales manager and call them up and introduce yourself.
Get to know the guys in the service department and offer to drop the service customers home when the put their car in for service or repairs. If those customers are orphans then become their guy.
Do this for 3 months and you'll have more business than the guys that have been there for 3 years.
