Making Up for Lost Time

I lost a whole week of work due to the terrible ice storm that hit Missouri. I was without electricity for a week as was most of our community.

Today I was finally able to get out there and attempt to make up for lost time. I have to admit, I had to make myself go deliver my brochures.

Due to the tremendous amount of destruction and devestation in this area, I doubt that many people will be interested in buying Avon products.

I'm trying and I guess that's the most important thing right now.

I'm sorry to hear about the destruction, ozzie.

Hopefully some of your clients will treat themselves to your products as a little pampering to help get them through the stressful times.

My friends, relatives and neighbors are all still talking about the storm and all they went through. There are some who still don't have power in their homes yet. It really is true and not just what I am thinking.

I am out there offering them some products for pampering, Ricardo. A few are interested but most want to talk and I'm available for that as well. I think they will remember my friendship and interest in their troubles and I will have some very loyal customers. Right now, however, sales are low.

Weather calamities really affect everything business, properties and more. Maybe this time selling avon products in your place is a little bit disappointing but if people can recover and back to normal. Your avon business will be fine. Just continue promoting your business in other areas.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I am trying to promote my business to apartment dwellers this time. They weren't hit as hard as homeowners.

I was pleasantly surprised this morning by a very nice order so I'm more optimistic tonight.

Are you able to use this time to spend more on your website, or marketing online?

Congratulations on the nice order, by the way.

It seems that you were so right, Ricardo in your earlier reply when you said that some victims might be in the mood for some pampering. I've had several more really good orders. It's wonderful and amazing!
