Missing Sales Meeting

I've been planning all week on going to the Avon sales meeting to be held 60 miles from my home. The District Manager couldn't get a large enough group to meet any closer.

My husband was planning to drive me on the interstate, since I don't do that anymore. Now, something has come up and he can't. I feel really badly about missing this. I hope my manager won't hold it against me.

Did you contact your manager to explain what happened?

I called this morning and let her know I couldn't make the meeting. It was a group of about 20-25 so she still had a good meeting. As it turned out, I guess we weren't supposed to go because it started snowing in the late morning and still hasn't stopped. I'm glad we have been home where it's warm.

Your manager will surely understand you because you've got a valid reason. There are really circumstances that we can't avoid.

Warm and safe is good. There have been some horrible auto accidents due to weather in the last few weeks up here in Ontario.

Same here and especially now when there's a new sheet of ice all over everything. Wind chills below zero doesn't allow it to melt. I'm glad your manager understood, ozzie... traveling in that kind of weather is never fun.

I'm glad she understood too. Hopefully we will have decent traveling conditions for the next one which is in late February. You never know what it's going to be like here in Missouri.
