Snowman,
Thank you sincerely....I am just stressing out because I am newly engaged to the girl I have ALWAYS wanted, and her parents don't care HOW great I am to their daughter....that untill I have a 401K and can end up with as bright as a future as her (she's inheriting a very succesful flooring business), that she "could do better".

Whatever you focus on is what you’ll get in life so focus on the good things buddy!!!

I know a lot of miserable wealthy people, as a parent I can tell you for sure, her parents will want her to be really happy first and foremost. You’ll only make her happy if you focus on doing the right thing by her and you. If you focus on doing the right thing on all fronts then you won’t go far wrong…..just don’t worry or stress out!!!

When you look at the sun you can’t see the shadows!!!

Q; What’s worse than worrying about what will happen in life?

A; Worrying about what won’t happen in life.

We see many new faces in our industry every year. Most of them are very enthusiastic about the business and many talk about becoming a "broker". Unfortunately a huge number of them don't make it very long. As a manager my rule of thumb is see me after 6-12 months and then we'll talk about possible advancement.

I think it would be good to trust your instincts about how the owners are treating you now as compared to when you first began. You are definitely seeing a change and you are concerned about it. Maybe they want you to continue to be concerned to the point that you keep studying and improving.....thus no job is permanent, it depends on your willingness to continue to learn and improve.

This is just the idea I got after reading this thread.

I've experienced working for someone but not knowing how they felt about my job until later on. No feedback isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I also agree that worrying won't help, and could actually make the situation worse.
