Any good results with PPC advertising?

Has any forum member here had any good results with pay per click advertising? (PPC) It seems that the costs of advertising with the PPC programs is getting out of hand.

Cost is too getting out of hand and moreover now real ppc is lost its charm since many MFA sites have come up
