Has Anyone bought Traffic?
Has anyone bought traffic to his or her website? I'd like find out if there's any effective programs out there. -julian4239
Who would you buy traffic from Julian? -Marcus
I'm not sure who I'd buy traffic from. It sounds risky since you never know where the traffic comes from. I was listening to some podcaster complaining about his entire traffic was coming from SE Asia. There's practically no conversions for from the traffic. -julian4239
I have bought traffic in the past for my websites through pay per click advertising. I have used all three major PPC advertising companies which are Yahoo Overture, MSN and Google Adwords. -jimberan
No never , i would never buy traffic , thats of no use , it never gives the actuall return , its just way of incresing your hits , no sales -mtajim
Many online travel companies rely entirely on PPC advertising and they do very well. I don't see any reason why you would suggest otherwise. -jimberan

PPC adcertising and buying traffic are two diffrent things , PPS ads are contextual ads like Google adsense, and buying traffic is paying people to open your site and that can be done by autosurf and other such automated tools , -mtajim
I guess it depends on the what you define under buying traffic. Buying traffic for me includes the pay per click advertising model as you pay the PPC provider to deliver traffic to your site. -jimberan
Initially if you want your site to be better ranked by Alexa or Google...buying traffic may not be a bad idea. Good ranking indicates to web savvy people that your site has some traction and credibility...purely an image thing...may not directly result in leads for sales.
Google Adwords is probably a good investment, since getting well ranked by Google is more prestigious than by any other search engines
If you carefully choose the sites on which your ads appear, you may get some pretty good leads. Google does not rank sites purely based on traffic.
I have seen sites using google adwords get ranking of 4, with Alexa rankings in the 3,000,000 -alexhar
Buying traffic works but you have to have a plan to convert that traffic you cannot just send them to a web page and hope they will buy. You need a follow plan or you are wasting your money but if you have a follow up plan with a auto responder you should see good returns.
The first couple of times I used PPC I got crushed because I had no idea what I was doing but I studied it more and got better and now it is profitable.
If you want to get the best value use MSN you will not get as much traffic as google but it will be less expensive and more targeted, they also are making a big push to bring in new customers they have revamped their site to be more user friendly.
I finally started using them a month ago when they sent me a $100 voucher and then last week they sent $200 which I was not able to use because I had already used the $100.
Hope this helps,

I've been using MS Office Live recently. I have a website and two email accounts with them. I just started using their admanager program. I don't know yet how well it is going to drive more traffic to my website. As a small business owner, I qualified for $50 in free advertising in their ad program. -ozzie
