What are your favorite article directories. I prefer the articles directories at ezinearticles and goarticles. What are your favorite ones? -jimberan

I'd love to hear about your experience, or anyone else's experience with article directories. I love to write, and have thought about writing articles for this sort of outlet, but have yet to make the leap. -skristoff

I had never heard of ezines until I bought Frank Rumbauskas book on self marketing, and thought it was a very interesting idea. It's actually a great way to get backlinks and to establish yourself as an expert in your field. I recommend using anchor text in your sigs, as it makes all of the difference in the world. Anchor text is hyperlinking your keywords you want to found for on your site.

For instance, I sell Business Telephone System, so in my sig, I might put something to the effect of"

Steve is an expert in providing Business Telephone Systems for complex multilocation architectures.

now in that case, I actually hyperlinked to this site, so the mods don't think I'm trying to abuse links or something. some ezines won't accept anchor text, but only links, so you'll have to experiement some.

In my research to find some decent ezine sites, and the long process of submitting articles, I found a product calls articlepostrobot. It is hilarious how good it works. It is some serious work to register at all of the ezine sites on the program and get pen names, user names, passwords, etc, but I literally can post my articles I write to about 475 sites in about 4 hours. I ;bg everytime I run that program. I should film a clip and load it for all to see.

One thing you will find is that some sites have very little traffic, and your articles will next to never get viewed. Ezinearticles.com is by far the best I have seen yet, and I'm ranked as an expert on several of them for posting more than dozen articles or so.

If you are doing it to drive traffic to your site, have very modest expectations. if you are doing it for backlinks, just understand that many of the sites strip your live url or they use no follow tags so you won't get any. Overall, it has been worth it to me. -Telephone Guru

I recently used a $15 service that posted my article for me to many sites. I know it takes a few weeks to get indexed so I will re-post in a short time if it worked or not. They say 200ish.. we will see.. -OneLead Guy

Re: Favorite Article Directories #7
There are many article directories, yet only a handful are really worth anyone's time. The rest either have low PR or have a lot of junk articles which get rejected in other directories. -jennypitts

Article directories can prove to be your best source of promotion if done in a particular way. For our own company in the UK we built a targeted database from scratch of over 500 people that buy a low cost coaching programme of ours.

The challenge many people have is not being aware of how to write articles and an effective resource box.

Like anything it just takes some application.

Best Wishes
