When the subject of traditional sales training comes up so does the name Dale Carnegie. IMO, the techniques outlined in "How to Win Friends and Influence People" work as well today as they did back in 1936 because they are based on an understanding of relationships.

YES, without a doubt it still works. People are ALWAYS going to care about themselves.

I don't know why some people would feel the ideas in "How to Win Friends and Influence People" are manipulative or too old fashioned. Does anyone here feel that way?

Wow everybody likes it. I didn't think the Dale Carnegie stuff was manipulative but I thought others did.
