Hello My name is Steve Hilliar from New Zealand

This is my first post and I really like what I see on this website. I have spent my life in selling and I am passionate on every aspect of the skill. If I can offer any assitance to anyone I will be happy and there is no doubt I will learn myself from the obvious talent out there.
Regards

Steve

Is that a trick question? Here is a definition:

"A product attribute expressed in terms of what the user gets from the product rather than its physical characteristics or features. Benefits are often paired with specific features, but they need not be. They are perceived, not necessarily real."

benefits

Another definition: A "benefit" is a belief in the customer's mind (often existing unconsciously unless we surface it) about how they can get more of what they really want (and less of what they fear) by solving their problem with us (and our products/services) rather than using a competitor, doing it themselves, or not solving the problem at all. "Bene-fit" means "to do well." The marketing guys lead us astray when they talk about inherent product "benefits." The only benefits exist in the customer's mind.
