Houston is right.

Depending on what you say and how you say it, about 14% of FSBOs will react that way. If your creating more rejecton than that, see previous posts above.

Most of the the other 86 percent will eventually list with an agent. It's usually an agent who is persistant and doesn't create any pressure on the prospect or him/her self.

I was so beat down arguing (I mean negotiating) with people that I had no resistance left. Most of the arguing took place with people in my own company.

Thanks Houston. I was starting to think I was doing something wrong.

i reckon I'd struggle to sell something they didn't want or need. So if I couldn't identify a want oe a need, I'd probably find another customer. Eskimos though - maybe they want ice to go in their glass, not great big glacier chunks, so there could be a need!

There is big difference between the perception of need vs the perception of want.

In the minds of most people, want has a much higher priority. Therefore, selling to needs is a low probability strategy.

If I had to do it I would focus on the "Quality" of the water being used. After all, who wants dirty ice cubes? Yuk!
Well done Liberty - I want to steel what he said
