In the past I had success getting high ranking for some sites even though the sites were on subwebs of an existing domain. For instance, I did member sites on an organization's domain.

My question is this. Inasmuch as we can register a domain and merely point the URL to another domain, specifically, to a sub web, how will this affect the search engine optimization process? -Gary Boye
