Smile Finally found a sales forum!

Good day!
I worked (loyally, if I may say so) for 17 years as an outside sales rep for a company that closed its doors last year, which left me jobless at the age of 50. Yikes!

Since I haven't been able to find another acceptable job (they won't have me or I won't have them), I have decided to sell as an independent rep. The problem with this (for me) is that I have no support group, no one to help motivate me, or to share in successes and/or loses.

I haven't read much of the boards yet, so I am not sure if this forum is truly what I am looking for, but here I am...giving it a try. Procrastination of cold calls is my biggest obstacle (I'm sure some can relate to that).

You'll find plenty to help you out over here. As far as motivation goes, success is a great motivator. Come by as often as you like to share some stories.

Welcome! Oh, and don't worry about being jobless at 50, remember Col. Sanders startd Kentucky Fried Chicken when he was 65 and broke!
