Great Book I'm Reading

I picked up this book, Power vs Force --The Hidden Determinants of Human Behavior by David R. Hawkins.

The title almost turned me off. It's a beautiful, fantastic, energizing, read. Couldn't put it down.

I'm always up for a book on the subject of Human Behavior. Are you finished? Any highlights?

Gary, anything in the book you can share that applies to sales?

Yes. As a matter of fact, some of what I've read applies directly to the learning process that many newcomers to sales struggle with.

But I want to read more into the book before I post anything about it. I'm affected what the author has to say. Some of it really hits home.

A lot of times we are attracted to books because we recognize things in it that we know and never expressed--or it never manifested into any voluntary thinking.

In the fascinating thread on this forum, "What do we want to know and when?", Jacques Werth tempts us with some provocative ideas in answer to that question. Mindblowing, actually--preposterous in my words.

A major theme of the book I mentioned is the author's findings through scientific research that we have the ability to accurately answer seemingly difficult questions that we ask ourselves almost instantaneuosly. We can get needed information from seemingly remote sources to enable us to make good decisions.

I think that what Jacques is talking about connects somewhat with Hawkins' discoveries. The link to that thread follows.
