Hello, everyone,
I am glad I found this forum. I am a retired teacher, and am trying my hand at selling. I am a new sales agent for a company that sells language software, and as well I am selling imprinted promotional products part time.

I am looking forward to learning about sales, since it is new to me (in teaching, you have a "captured audience"). I hope to learn a lot, and may be able to contribute a little of my experience in being a consumer.

Chuck, I hope you are right. It is different, but I am still working with people, and in teaching, you have to connect with people, just like in sales. In fact, in my software sales, it is educational software sales, so sometimes I mention that I am a retired teacher, and that seems to help.
