Just another new member

Hi everyone, I'm Joe and have been in the sales arena for the past 42 years and still at it. On top of that I am from Scotland where the men are men and the sheep are scared.
I am trying to track down some sales training films that I saw in my youth which in my opinion haven't been bettered. The main one I would like to find is called 'The Four Aces', but please understand that it is some time since I watched it and the title could be slightly different. Age doesn't come alone unfortunately. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks for reading thus far.

Hi Joe. Good to have you hear.

Was the video you're looking for on a specific industry training or sales training in general?

Four Aces

Hi Marcus, It wasn't industry specific, just general. It featured a sales trainer and if I remember correctly it took place on board an aircraft. He had the four aces and a Joker and each suit represented a situation in any general selling situation. eg the spades represented 'digging for information' and diamonds 'product knowledge' etc

Thanks for the welcome

My thanks to both AZBroker and Snowman for their welcome, it seems like a nice community you have here.
I don't even know if I am posting in the right part of the forum to get answers to the specific question, but no doubt someone will point me in the right direction. Thanks again.

Your thread is in "new member introductions" which I know I don't always get around to reading. If you post your video question in the "general discussion" section it's possible you might get more responses.

Re Awesome

Hi Calvin, thanks for the welcome. It isn't awesome, its exilarating just having the buzz and the adrenalin flowing. Started back in 1965 when I was just 19 with of all things EB (Encyclopedia Britanica) when it was sold door to door and graduated from there. I suppose over the years you learn one or two things and if you have any nounce about you, you remember them for later use. The key is to always listen without interruption and never ever make statements you can't back up, someone will always catch you out.
Take care out there, it's a wonderful world but it's getting wiser!
