If people identify with you it will make the process a lot simpler. Whilst maintaining your professional standards, make sure you convey understanding and empathy. Approach them on a human level with the hope that you can help them solve their problem. Remember that the client must always feel secure. Always acknowledge any objections, never just dismiss them.

Empathy is one of those things that not a lot of sale people show yet is wsomething that can be a great toll for them if only they did.

Well the good thing is, is that you know that you have this and you can do something about it. Just try to listen to your clients for a while and see if it does take a toll on you.
