I knew someone who did this once. The appointments were generated by a phone room and were pathetically poor because these low-wagers were paid only to set the thing. Quality meant nothing. That was the next poor slob's problem. To me, this was a weak system, and a waste of everyone's time. The only one who benefited from this was the company (I assume). Apparently, enough sales were made to make it worth it to them to torture their employees with the "throw it up against the wall and see if anything sticks" method.
