For those interested in article submission, Ken Nadreau and Hubert Daul have just released a major update of Article Submitter Pro. There's a detailed review of the new release at the site below.

The update includes submission to over 200 article directories, ezines and email lists. The latest version (v 1.02 released in October 2006) adds a very welcome backup and restore function. Also new with this version is the ability to submit an article with different author names and titles to help you maximise your submissions.

Yes, I've been using it for several weeks (it only came out a month or two back.) My first article "The Top Twelve Threats No Computer User Should Ignore" now has about 500 links on google. I would have gained the same results by manually submitting to all the sites but that's not really a practical solution. Too many things to do! Of course there are other tools and services that can be used but they are significantly more expensive over a one year view. There's more information in the review.

I have been able to try Article Submitter Pro for a while. It is good because patches are offered even after the software has been bought. It lets you submit an article to more than 700 article directories. In some cases, there are fields that are not automatically filled in so you still have to manually enter them. I wonder, though, if ASP has a built-in firewall. Because I have encountered several sites that automatically installs a malware. That was awful!

Do you think it would be more effective to write articles and offer them directly to relevant websites, news services, etc, rather than making mass submissions to article banks? You could even write up a basic article and then tweak it to fit each prospective publisher, which would give them exclusive content.

Or would that simply take too much time?

That article site database is awesome! Been looking for something like it for a long time. Thanks for putting it together (now if we can only get you to update it - L.U. June30, 2006)
