When I was looking through the list of article submission sites on SP, I stumbed on an ad for article submission software that is supposed to automate the article submission process to spread your articles and links rapidly across the net. Is anyone familiar with this type of software or have any recommenations? -RainMaker

I'm not but if you PM with the information I'll check into it. ;) -Jeff Blackwell

This sounds like a potentially great idea. Which ad(s) are you referring to? -BossMan

The style of this ad give cause for pause...but I was curious and watched the video and the concept seemed interesting.

Re: Article submission software #5
I wish the sales letter for that wasn't so sensationalistic and "salesy." :(

I have the software, bought it because I own and love another piece of software developed by the same person. :) This is *not* like automated spamming software...push a button and spam a huge list of unsuspecting people.. Rather, it's a tool to help you submit articles faster by organizing all of the information you need to submit the article. You choose which places to submit your article, and as you manually go down the list, the software will fill in forms with the correct data (if it is Web-based submission) or pull up your email (if it is email submission) so you save time. Basically, it significantly cuts down the time involved with doing each submission. -Bobette Kyle

Yes, the sales letter is stupidly ugly (considering at the end they show you the product which is very professional looking). It sounds useful. Would you say it is worth the $? -RainMaker

Would you say it is worth the $?
The short answer is yes.

The long answer is it depends. The long answer also gets at why I do not like the "John Reese-tsy" type sales letters, regardless of how well they convert or how outstanding the underlying product actually is.

Anyway, the "yes" side of the anwer is because the software also includes a lot of training and reference material. A lot of it is elementary for me (since I was pretty active with writing and distributing new articles in 2002-03), but enough tips to get me excited about gearing up again. I'm convinced that a couple of those tips - once I put them into action - will increase my conversions enough to quickly pay for the software.

I also know from prior experience (and from using the ezineannouncer software, which included an article submission function, to submit articles) that article marketing like this can definitely work. When I was getting my main site up and running, it was the most effective way for *me* to get interested people to my site. It also built inbound links to my site naturally, without me having to put extra effort into link building, so I also totally buy into that.

On the "it depends" side...just like anything else in business, you have to WORK to make it happen. You have to write strong articles, they have to be of interest to publishers, your Website has to be of interest to the visitors once they get there (or else people won't tell others about the site, or decide to list you as a resource on their Websites, or do whatever else they do when they see something they like), and you have to use the database wisely by choosing the publishers that fit your target readership. When those things happen, then yes, you can see the results touted in the sales letter...and the more you do it, the more results you see because more and more people are being exposed to you and spreading the word about your site.

Well, that turned out longer than I expected.:o In short...

If you approach your Website like a real business and are serious about doing it right, definitely worth it. If you are looking for an effortless way to riches, not worth it. -Bobette Kyle

Great answer. Thank you. Jeffrey, those reviews were useful, too. The 2nd was particularly informative by providing alternative options.:) -RainMaker

I own the predecessor to this product, EzineAnnouncer. It was designed to submit your ezine to ezine directories, plus he had added the ability to submit articles. The software was well-designed, complete with videos that made it easy to learn. The drawback was that many of the article sites were out of date, but it did make my job easier and got me a lot of hits to my web page that I wouldn't have had otherwise.

I've purchased this new product, and although I haven't used it yet, I have high expectations. Updates will be easier, the whole submission engine has been rewritten, and he's already working on v2.0 (which will be made available for free to those who have purchased v1).

Re: the price, the reason the price is so high is that he has included an entire tutorial on how to use article marketing wisely. How to write effective headlines, use the resource box appropriately, good writing techniques -- in short, how to NOT produce junk articles. I have 3 CDs and 3 large notebooks sitting here waiting for me to read and learn.

Bottom line: I think the product is worth it (imho)

Re: Article submission software #10
Well, there's no doubt that writing articles is a GREAT
way to build traffic. Trouble is that with so many article
sites, (see link below for my crib sheet of top sites -
it's being built up by the day!) you really do need a
service or tool to help reducethe legwork.
I've done a lot of research into this and the
four contenders are as follows - (please chip in if you
know of any others!)

Article Submission Service

a) Steve Shaw's "submityourarticle" service which costs
$37 per month for four articles a month ($444 a year)

b) Article Marketer at $39.95 a quarter ($159.80 a year)

Article Submission Software

c) Jason Potash's Article Announcer which costs $379 +
shipping with a 90 day money back refund guarantee

d) Ken Nadreau and Hubert Daul's Article Submitter Pro at
$167 with a 60 day money back guarantee. Details at
http://www.articlesubmitterpro.co.uk

Of these Article Submitter Pro seemed the best value by far
and that price includes
lifetime updates. See the resource box below for links.

I've been using it extensively, and it submits to around
130 article sites and 25 email groups. You can add your own
sites and email groups very easily.

I particularly like the way that Ken and Hubert, the
authors, seem to be online virtually 24/7 and answer any
email queries almost immediately.

The software's quite fresh to the market but I know Ken
and Hubert are working flat out on further enhancements for
example a) a backup and restore function, b) further
flexibility to let you submit articles in different names,
and c) different email address to give you an an infinite
number of variations to any given article submission.

I hope this helps. I look forward to writing a more
complete review of Article Submitter Pro when time allows.

If you visit the website you can download a fully
functional 3 day trial copy of Article Submitter Pro.

With a 60 day money back guarantee it's worth a look,
particularly as it's so much less expensive than the
competition.

regards

Kai Chandler

For those interested in article submission, Ken Nadreau and Hubert Daul have just released a major update of Article Submitter Pro. There's a detailed review of the new release at the site below.

The update includes submission to over 200 article directories, ezines and email lists. The latest version (v 1.02 released in October 2006) adds a very welcome backup and restore function. Also new with this version is the ability to submit an article with different author names and titles to help you maximise your submissions.

Yes, I've been using it for several weeks (it only came out a month or two back.) My first article "The Top Twelve Threats No Computer User Should Ignore" now has about 500 links on google. I would have gained the same results by manually submitting to all the sites but that's not really a practical solution. Too many things to do! Of course there are other tools and services that can be used but they are significantly more expensive over a one year view. There's more information in the review.

I hope that helps.

Will that be a freebie? :p

I have been able to try Article Submitter Pro for a while. It is good because patches are offered even after the software has been bought. It lets you submit an article to more than 700 article directories. In some cases, there are fields that are not automatically filled in so you still have to manually enter them. I wonder, though, if ASP has a built-in firewall. Because I have encountered several sites that automatically installs a malware. That was awful! -clarise

Do you think it would be more effective to write articles and offer them directly to relevant websites, news services, etc, rather than making mass submissions to article banks? You could even write up a basic article and then tweak it to fit each prospective publisher, which would give them exclusive content.

Or would that simply take too much time? -CarrieGee

That article site database is awesome! Been looking for something like it for a long time. Thanks for putting it together (now if we can only get you to update it - L.U. June30, 2006) :thup -thevolcanogod

Automated Article Submisiion softwares just spam the directories, they dont actually submit site, rather just mail a pre formattted letter to list of site in there database -mtajim

I used an article submit service once for $15.When I did, they gave me a ton of login and passwords. I'm hoping I can use these logins they created to login again and post new articles bypassing their fee. We will see. -OneLead Guy
