Employment Agreements

For those members who are owners/managers do you have your employees sign a formal employment agreement? If so, did you draw up your own or use a generic form?

For those members who aren't owners/managers were you asked to sign a formal employment agreement?

We have our agents sign an "employment agreement". We use a modified version of the generic agreement provided by the State's Department of Real Estate.

Yes, we were asked to sign an agreement. It was no big deal. The agreement just detailed the compensation plan and things of that nature.

Employment agreements are an excellent idea and should document your compensation plan. This will help to eliminate and/or resolve a lot of post-employment issues.
