First off, I am extremely pleased to find this community and look forward to learning from everyone and sharing my experiences as well.
I have just started an account manager position with an enterprise level software company. Right off I noticed four things:
1. Sales cycle 6-9 months.
2. Selling to local, state and federal government.
3. Negative and new sales team of two, both under a year.
4. No sales manager
There is an obvious challenge as well as possibility for me here and I do believe in the product.
I am polishing up my skills for my second week. I have been in sales for 3 years off and on. Any advice?
