Fresh Ideas on the Sales Process and Practices

It does seem that sales process and practice is one area that does not really change. Technology does help in getting us more organized, achieve greater productivity but does not really alter the processes.

Despite this I am hopeful, and it will be great to have ideas on members here on how to do things differently or their ideas on revolutionizing the sales process.

One different way I use is called the LAB (Learning and Behavior) profile. You can read about it in a book called "words that change minds" by Shelle Rose Charvet.

Sales processes, on the whole, are basic fundamentals that haven't changed.

However, people have changed. Here in the 21st century, people are far more sophisticated then yesteryear. The key to success in today's sales, is not about building report and bonding. People don't care about who won the ball game last night or what the whether is like down south. People respect straight forward professionalism. They want to trust you and want to do business with you. Be the absolute professional and you will close your sales.

I stick with the basics and it works well. 'Nuff said.

People have not changed. Just read the Old Testament. Our basic needs are still the same. My metaphor is the foundation is the same, but the house is different. Technology allows you to reach the masses in different ways than yesteryear.
