Salesguy - I was just reading them.
It has been a while since I actually set down and worked to come up with an overall marketing plan.
My business plan has general concepts that I want to accomplish, but now I need to take the concepts and create the most compelling presentation possible. Not to worry my business plan is an incremental plan - but here is the 10,000' summary.
My background
I am in real estate - I want to make a great living and build a business that has more than just my direct efforts as the value proposition.
In my past I have worked with financial services and learned, and for that matter trained others in the financial services industry to utilize real estate assets of clients to help reach financial objectives. The lesson at the time from the field is most real estate agents not only don't know the various techniques that could save their clients money, but more importantly they don't even care! This is part of why I left Wachovia as a Senior Vice President in their Wealth Management Group to pursue real estate. Then again, maybe it was the fishing in Florida vs. the lifestyle in Winston Salem NC 
I have also been fortunate to have a strong technology background that has always helped me in my success on the financial services and business side. This has assisted in my efforts to get websites placement and traffic that is so important.
I know that there are people that are much better than me at so many things! Hard to believe but, I have always considered understanding this as a key to my past successes. Too many people have a problem wanting to be the best at anything or even worse, the best at everything. My strength is getting the right team together to get it done!
My Goals
My goal is to bring my strengths to the real estate world, that primarily is an every person for themselves arena, with the brokerages doing little to actually bring the total package together, and offer my clients a clear reason to want to work with this new group.
For the property owner we bring a unique combination of services;
· Financial strategies that for the right prospect can save hundreds of thousands of dollars.
· A network (not formal) of legal, finance, and financial advisors to help with opportunities that most property owners never are even made aware of.
· An internet marketing presence and capability that offers the property owner the most exposure for their property in a market that is becoming more and more driven by potential buyers researching potential properties on the internet.
· An attention to detail consistent with a Banks Trust department to make sure that from beginning to end the client’s experience is one of confidence and assurance.
For the client advisors we also offer great benefits for participation
· Exposure to a client base that they would typically not be exposed to until after the real estate transaction has occurred.
· A capacity to assist them in building a presence on the internet in their respective target markets
For other Realtors that we want to recruit into the team/group
· A compelling sales proposition that helps their success in a very competitive market.
· An internet presence that provides opportunities to work with buyers that they would most likely not have had otherwise.
· A financial incentive to help recruit others into the group.
Requirements for success
Knowledge of a series of financial strategies utilizing real estate that can save significant dollars for the right client base. (I have worked with these strategies for the past 10+ years with the best in the business)J
An internet presence that we can promote our clients listings and demonstrate to prospects a tangible benefit. My current efforts have enabled me to show this value in my market – more importantly I have identified a select group of individuals that can build the presence that I need.
Like so many strategies – the concept can be compelling but I need the right marketing components, copy, logo, brochures, and presentation to clearly and concisely tell the message.
