Here's a little formula I picked up twenty years ago: (1) Know your outcome (2) plan your work (3) work your plan (4) adjust as necessary.

No man/woman is an island. Build alliances.

From Stephen Covey: "Begin with the end in mind."

Keep your mind on what you want and off of what you don't want.

A formula I heard from Greg Reid this weekend in Sedona:
Passion + Talent + Association + Attraction = Success

Do what you love with passion and commitment beginning in the beginning stages of learning and toddling along with a vision that empowers, respects, and serves people well.

Define success in your terms, not others.

Stick to your principles but be willing to evaluate and examine yourself.
