Fitness Trainer, welcome - sorry to hear you're feeling low about yourself. I personally believe that how you feel about yourself certainly limits what you can do.

An old bit of wisdom I often use is the 'point of view-action-result' cycle.

It's ALWAYS at work. What we believe about ourselves dictates what we do, how we act. Our actions create results that ALWAYS reconfirm our point of view about ourselves.

Notice this cycle doesn't care about 'good' or 'bad' or 'positive' or 'negative'? It just works. It's also a really simple tool you can use to find out what your point of view REALLY is about yourself / something - irrespective of what you tell yourself. Just start with the actual results, and work backwards - "If I've created THIS, then what did I DO? If I DID this, then what do I believe about myself...?"

How to intervene? In my experience, we can't just alter our points of view. We have to develop the courage, discipline and commitment to actually act in ways that go against our limiting point of view.
