Re: Do You Support SPAM?
I haven't and don't plan to. As far as I'm concerned the companies that SPAM have already shown that they can't be trusted. Even if I wanted the product I wouldn't buy it from them. I'd simply find someone else who sells the same product and give them the business instead.

What Franklin says goes for me too.
![]() To me spam is insulting because it tramples on the courtesies of society. Don't get me going... ![]() |

The question should be: can SPAM support you?
SPAM is not the most effective way to market a product or service. Some companies write their entire business models around that concept. Constand Contact is just one of a few.. FireDRUM is another. But what you have to ask yourself is... what do YOU consider spam??
If you, for example, stick your business card on a bullitin board.. expecting someone to call you with a hot new lead.... but instead the business card ends up in the hands of someone who hosts/facilitates networking events... You will probably recieve an e-mail situation where your e-mail is one of 3,308 emails in a marketing campaign designed to peak your interest in regards to a networking event where you will meet 2 new clients, 1 of which referrs you to 2 other friends. Etc... the magic continues. But if you looked at that campaign as spam, you've effectivly lost out on business. So there are 2 types of email campaigns: 1.) outright spam... trash 2.) focused information ... sometimes you can hit gold via allowing them to prospect you. My point is... It may be a benifit to you to develop, or grow the charactor trait that tries to see business oppertunity in everything... (a tip i picked up, now that i think about it, in a seminar i was prospected to attend =] ) |

IMO, regardless of the "opportunity" the ends do not justify the means.

No, I will not buy from someone I found through spam. I just don't like the idea of adding fuel to the fire.
