Greetings!

Hello everyone. I thought I would take a minute and introduce myself.

I am a small business owner providing window tinting for residential and commercial businesses.

I've been in the industry for almost 8 years now, and I'm going on my 5th year being in business for myself. I am a one man show... doing it all. Sales, installations, marketing, etc. I do it all.... which is nice, and at the same time is a bit much from time to time.

My prime season is from April - Oct... but I'm trying to get more commercial work during the winter due to residential work dropping off at the time. Between the holidays and the cold weather, it's not as busy as during the spring and sumer months.
Since I am a solo gig, I don't have to be slammed busy year round, so that's a plus for me. But at the same time, my goals for 2008 are to increase my sales greatly. Previously I had a job in the evenings which kindof held me thru the winter months, but that's no more, so I have more of an incentive to do better. The timing of that just stinks since it happened recently.

I've been reading much here on sales and marketing, as well as talking with other shop owners to get some ideas going and I already have gathers a lot of good information I hope to put into place.

And, in time, I hope to be able to offer some help to members here.

It's nice to see a hard worker trying to build his business. I've always been a believer that the harder you work, the luckier you get. Being a one-man show is hard, but apparently you have a good handle on it.

It is hard... having to do everything, but it's also nice knowing everything that is going on with...everything.

Welcom Ianto. I'm new to this forum also. I noticed you said you have read alot. That is what has kept me going in sales. Unfortunately, I catch myself reading more and doing less. Good luck to you in your business.
