A little later this morning (12:00 PM EST) will be the first of a series of sales training teleseminars offered by SalesPractice.com

A very big thank you to Peter Burke and Steven Burke for sharing their time and talent with our members today in the first of many teleseminars at SalesPractice.com.

The teleseminar was packed with helpful information on sales including; dialogue on how basic sales skills haven't changed, prospecting from the top down (top down works and bottom up doensn't), understanding how the Internet makes selling skills even more important, gaining "first position" instead of a "competitive situation" through prospecting, and more.

Thank you for a great discovery hour. Peter, the aha moment was Rhetoric-Socrates and your words (something like this) "By the way, do you feel better with this product or this product." And Steven your insight on how to build and use a website was priceless.

Thank you all and also, I didn't get his name, the Broker from Canada and his insight on listings. God Bless you all.

Unfortunately, I came across this thread today at around 12:45 est.

I called the number, which gave me another number to call using the same code, but none the less the one hour session would have been in it's wrap-up phase at this point.

I look forward to catching the next one.

I was giving you the insights on listings too, that me; Steven. Though I have never worked real estate! The How to prospect people were not planing to list is no different that prospecting B2B that were not planning to buy. This is where the biggest growth in your sales numbers can come from because you still have the leads of people from your advertising & marketing. They (a couple) may have talked about it but did not contact you or yet decide to list, that was my info, along with the website hints of how to turn browsers into people who need to call you.

These people can be shown a reason why they would want to list. This is exciting stuff.

The Socratic Choice example; "would you prefer to meet tomorrow morning or does a time the following afternoon suit you better", this is the assumptive close for an action plan. Used correctly you will get meetings and more listings as a result.

Glad you enjoyed.

A suggestion Jeff. Since many did not make it and there's good feedback, why not plan another to get some more exposure, say two weeks form now. That way you can still have a different guest next month and make sure more people in the forum get a first time exposure. Just a suggestion.

Steven, I believe I understand what you mean about listing. Where can I find info on B2B scripts and such? I am having my website tweaked with your idea. My designer is excited about it. Would you like to see it when it is finished?

Sure, love to see it, post it right here in this thread.

Glad you got so much out of the call.

If I was you, the next thing I would concentrate on is residential listings, what I would do is practice scripts for talking to people. Then take a few Saturdays and evenings and knock doors in highly targeted neighborhoods. Take some fliers with you.

The goal is to build your clients up and get referrals, right now you have to do the work to get the clients needed to generate enough referrals, your base.

Also test some mailing lists, but this is more expensive.

I'm happy to hear that the you enjoyed the teleseminar and thank you for your support. The more people that know about and attend the teleseminars the better.
