Hello all,

I am very pleased to have found this website, I'm sure it will be invaluable to me!

Firstly just to introduce myself. I am qualified as a specialist Biomedical Scientist, and have worked in a lab for over 5 years.

I have been job hunting for many months now, in the scientific/medical sales arena.

My problem is that I lack experience in this sales area. Despite having ran my own successful company many moons ago where cold calling, pitching and closing deals was what I excelled at. This was without any formal sales training.

So what else can I do?

I am reading everything possible on sales techniques, emailing and speaking to people trying to arrange shadowing.

Have had lots of interviews, 2nd interviews and given presentations - but not being offered a firm job offer. It's the person with more experience than I that is offered the job.

Anyway I'm going to have a good read around on this site and see what else I can learn.
