Cool Hard Selling on Phones

This forum seems to have a lot of talented support. I am new to the sales field, but I'm confident in my ability...I've been selling myself for years. I have just taken a new career path Selling over the phones.

It is difficult for beginners with my company because the type of lead we get is generated from internet surveys, so the typical client is only remotely interested at best. It seems like only a step above cold calling.

My closing ratio is only about 30% right now, but I have a high percentage of 'Additional Equipment' and Company Referrals considering my closing ratio.

I'm open to any suggestions!

Thanks,
Jason

Hi Jason,

Selling on the phone is a tough business that takes an individual with an enthusiastic personality and a respect for people's time. At a 30% closing ratio, I think you're doing a great job for as short a time as you've been in the business. Keep up the good work, I know you'll make it a success.

Cold Calling Success

Don't set your sights too short or limit your thinking, Jason. Look at calling like you'd look at mastering a martial arts discipline or working out in a gym: look at your first (next) three thousand reps as practice and sharpening your sword.

With that mind set go at it.

Jacques Werth's book "High Probability Selling" is one I highly recommend you to read and study.

The best of the best to you.

I tend to look at everything as martial art discipline. Thanks for the book recommendation. I'll check it out!

Welcome Jason.

A 30% closing ratio, is, indeed strong with being new to the industry.

Remove the word "Hard" from your titte and learn how to "Give Good Phone".

Everything else will follow.

Take it to the bank brother.

Agree with bluenote 100% becasue the real definition for "hard sell" is far different.

Welcome aboard!
