Rich DeVos & Amway

Check out the featured video of Rich DeVos one of the founders of multi level marketing sixty years ago. He and partner Jay ran into lots of road blocks and problems with the government - remember franchising was suspect and barely made it through legislation in the beginning - and still do (in the courts) from time to time.

Direct sales or network marketing or multi level marketing is a distribution model that is a $100 billion industry internationally. Even in the BNI (Business Network Marketing) group I'm in over half of the members use products sold through NWM or MLM and many individuals are generating income through them.

Affordability, universality, and adaptability make this business model attractive to many people. Most people are part time and earn supplemental income. Some earn five and six figure incomes and a few seven figure.

People are looking for additional streams-of-income from: stock strategies/investments, real estate, infopreneuring, licensing, and multi level marketing to name a few.

Opportunity abounds.
