Eye contact. Such a simple act, but so many people fret from doing it.
It amazes me over the last few years after I started to study human nature and body langauage how important making direct contact with someone's eyes are. What do you think? This thread should be open for a good debate.

Re: Eye Contact
I think you right. Eye contact is important.
The impact of eye contact is very easy to test. Simply avoid making eye contact with everyone you talk with and notice how they react to you.

Beyond a shadow of a doubt eye contact is important. "Eyes are the window of the soul."

When I was 18, I had a mindless job at Wendy's pick up window. To pass the time and amuse myself, I used to make eye contact every time I reached out to hand someone their change. This really freaked people out!

What do you believe caused the people to freak out?

I guess because it was unexpected. Some people looked back with giant eyes like I suddenly appeared out of thin air. Others smiled in response. Some looked away. (Of course, some men thought I was trying to pick them up. )

Just for the record, that was not the purpose of my little eye contact game, but I did discover its power.
