Sales Funnel

I found a sales funnel report today that used these categories. Are these the categories most people are using?

  1. New Opportunity
  2. Pre-Approach
  3. Initial Communication
  4. First Interview
  5. Opportunity Analysis
  6. Solution Development
  7. Solution Presentation
  8. Customer Evaluation
  9. Negotiation
  10. Commitment to Buy
  11. Follow-up

Sales Funnel

That funnel is from the Dale Carnegie sales process. It is featured in the ACT contact manager.

It is one method of a sales funnel. To me it is a sales process funnel that involves prospects that haven't even been approached.

The model I use closely resembles a forecast.

It is a 30 60 90 day model.

For each prospect I have on my 30 60 90 forecast, I have certain triggers that are used to rate them by percentile 90% 70% and then 50%.

The triggers involve an interest in the product, money in budget, decision makers identified etc etc.

I am not saying mine is the best. What is important is that you have a system to monitor your prospects and manage the sales process.

Good Selling!

Lead Scoring....

I wouldn't consider it lead scoring. There are certain criteria we use to put it in place on our funnel.

Have you ever done lead scoring?
